Hi, I’m Megan!
Thanks for stopping in. I hope I can help you reach your music goals. You might have noticed the tagline for this site is “Music makes life better!” Not only has music made my life better, but I firmly believe that the same will be true you or anyone else who wishes to make music a part of their life.
Apparently, I’ve always been into piano…
I started taking piano lessons at the age of 7. Once I started to progress through the middle school years, my ability for and dedication to the piano started to define me. I grew to love practicing. The process of learning a piece from start to finish was invigorating! I loved having the final product of being able to play a piece from memory. But even more, I loved the entire process of thinking something was too hard, then slowly piecing the music together.
Today, I can see that some of the best parts of my life have come from the hard work I put into the piano. The discipline I learned at the piano carries over into all aspects of my life. I developed a very strong work ethic and I learned to set realistic goals for myself and to follow through with them. One of my favorite parts of playing music is the relationships it has formed. I’ve had the privilege to have many inspiring teachers, classmates, colleagues and students. They have made my life so much richer!
I’m married to Brian and the mom of Sophie and Paul. As a family we enjoy the richness and beauty that music brings us. We deliberately spend time each day enjoying and making music together.
